Mossy Bark

This material was inspired by a forest scene I saw in a painting about a year ago. The trees in the painting were all green tinted in areas with moss to fit into the background with bright green glow from fey creatures that made up the majority of the fantasy themed painting. I wanted to attempt to recreate the color of those trees with a more realistic take on the texture of the bark. I first used grunge noises to create the overall lines of the bark then added brown coloring for the material. Lastly, I used a combination of noises and histograms to create dark areas to add green gradients to result in a grungy moss color across the bark.
