Don’t Feed the Fatberg

Don't Feed the Fatberg is a simulation game created in collaboration with Wayne State University for the National Science Foundation. The game contains two main modes. The player first races against a timer to clean trash in their home by throwing it either in the garbage, sink, or toilet. The player next goes to the sewers to see the fatberg they have contributed to. A fatberg is a mass of solid waste in the sewers that can damage the sewage system. The player uses a scanner to find trash in the muck and completes a minigame to find out info on how to properly dispose of that object. Play continues until the player finds all the objects in the fatberg.

The game was developed with the Unity game engine in a team of around 10 group members. Working with Wayne State required us to present game play and PowerPoints, as well as consult on information on the fatberg and proper waste disposal. I fixed bugs, lit the scene, and modeled a variety of props and house assets. This includes a lotion bottle, a bleach container, a scanner, a chair, a toilet, and a sink.
